Eyes on the Sea
Whoever graduated from the Sea and now hears that the Sea is a fundamental strategic asset, does not see the topic as a novelty. He just does not understand how the integrated policy for the Sea has not left government programs on the ground.
But it does not have to be the state to conduct the process. It should only facilitate it, promoting private initiative and creating the necessary conditions for investment, whether national or foreign.
And for that, you have to guarantee easy projects licensing – nobody waits five years for a license; it has to guarantee red tape for processes; you have to guarantee fiscal stability – no one risks their money in a game where the rules change or can change in the middle.
The labour cost and its excessive union membership are also deterrent factors.
Finally, and which could also be the beginning, justice must be swift, it must protect the interests of the parties, and not be a counterpower in itself, sometimes with its own political agenda.
The rest, do businessmen, whether in national or international partnerships.
It is essential to recover and reposition the Sea on the political and economic agenda, since it is a strong lever for development (we have the largest EEZ in Europe and the 11th largest in the world).
Projecto.Detalhe, an engineering and project management company, has therefore invested in the maritime platform, intervening, within the scope of Social Responsibility, in promoting initiatives to promote the opportunities at sea.
We held the “Um Projeto de Futuro” (A Project with a Future) Conference Cycle, with renowned speakers at the” Clube de Opinão da Marinha Mercante” (Merchant Marine Opinion Club)
We organized “O Mar e os Navegadores do Futuro” (The Sea and the Navigators of the Future), on World Sea Day, where we brought together renowned economists and adventurous sailors, in the Auditorium of IPTM / Escola Náutica (Nautical School).
At the Anchor Congress, organized by the Sea Economy Business Forum, at the Estoril Congress Center, we were present at a panel dedicated to Internationalization sharing our history and path.
Projecto.Detalhe contributed its perspective, approached strategy, successes, failures and surprises across borders, and explained why it always launches into the Sea again.
In addition to Oil & Gas, Energy, Environment, Infrastructure, Mining and Steel, Projecto.Detalhe is also oriented towards the Cluster of the Sea, possessing know-how for the development of Naval Construction and Repair projects, Ports and Marinas, Logistics, Maritime Works, Aquaculture and Fishing Industry, Education, Training and especially Energy Production.
The competitive spirit and the ambition to win the world again, leads us to constantly seek new areas of business.
And the Energy integrated into the Cluster of the Sea is clearly a huge opportunity.
